As an experienced UX/UI designer, I am passionate about purposeful products and organizations. Leveraging my extensive expertise in design thinking, user research, and native app design, I have consistently delivered impactful design solutions that prioritize user needs while driving business goals. Over the course of my 8+ years in product design, I have played a pivotal role in developing innovative digital products and enhancing existing ones across diverse industries.

As a Lead Product Designer at Indigo ag I have been involved in a variety of products in my 3.5 years at the company. Most recently I have owned the end-to-end design strategy and execution for our data collection platform which includes several admin experiences and a complementary native mobile experience for field technicians who collect field-level data that is crucial for the company to validate their sustainability programs. Before that I was the lead designer for the company’s native app that allowed farmers to participate in grain transactions as well as to record data about their sustainable farming practices. Getting to know the experience of farmers across America has been an eye opening experience.

My previous role was as a Senior Product Designer at Ovia Health. For about 4 years I had the opportunity to shape the company’s consumer and enterprise products for women’s health. My time at Ovia allowed me to grow very rapidly as a designer and a professional and I realized that I always want to work for a mission-driven company. Not only did I contribute to important business objectives through product development but I was able to spearhead a project very close to my heart called, In the Womb, a series of detailed medical illustrations tracking the developing fetus.

In addition to my two most recent roles, I also have years of experience as a freelance designer and consultant. I have illustrated several academic papers for anthropologists including a fatal case of infant scurvy from about 3800 BC. I also co-created an educational card game called Origins for biological anthropology students. In 2015 I worked at Hunter Creative Labs where I helped build an app to connect Alzheimer’s patients with their caregivers. I also created medical illustrations and other design collateral for Boston Microfluidics, a company specializing in at-home blood collection devices.

I also have an MSc in medical illustration. I have always been passionate about human anatomy and using art to depict incredibly complex body systems. In graduate school I worked alongside anatomists, forensic experts, educators, surgeons and healthcare providers. All of this set me up to bring my medical illustration skills into my work as a product designer where my goal is to design tools that educate people about their own health and give them insights into their bodies.

Outside of design, I love to work on projects at home that involve manual labor (yard work, gardening, home improvement and organization projects). I’m a passionate traveler and have spent time living abroad during my school years in Italy and Scotland. I love staying active and exploring nature with my family, which includes a feisty 1.5 year old, my husband Jesse, and a giant Bernese Mountain dog - Gus!
